I'm terribly sorry about the ridiculous file size. It's 30MB, so it killed my poor laptop. I've never used Flash for anything other than simple animations and I've certainly never worked with Actionscript without help before... I know it's not the most user-friendly layout... tried to add buttons, but for some reason I kept getting errors. I'm way too exhausted to do anything about that now - it'll have to wait until after my exams.

I know :cries:

I've been up since 9 this morning and tried to get that damn preloader and those bloody buttons to work properly. Check back in 30 min? It's nice to be able to recap to see the difference :) And thank you - I'm happy you found it useful :tighthug:

This was a great walkthrough to read. :) I agree with your author's note, that it isn't always a straight drive from A to Z. In fact, I have yet to do an art project where that was the case. :giggle: And here I thought it was just me!

don't let this stress you out, it's a minor bug and it can wait ;)

I absolutely LOVE this tutorial (and hence I've advertised it a little :D)

Ohmigod thank you so much! You know, sometime I think the real reason I put so much into tutorials is that I like to have my ego stroked... :giggle: Makes it worth the effort to get such response.

Difficult not to stress, though - I'm full of coffeine and the file is taking forever to load... I wish dA had a percentage bar on their upload thing :typerhappy:

this..is...amazing. It's well put together with easy to read directions, and has given me some good ideas to work from.

I haven't manipulated anything in a looong while, and have yet to put anything on here, but hopefully i'll start again...one day XD

Thanks for putting so much effort into this, it's going to help lot's of people.

And i can't believe I didn't guess the movie right, i can't count how many times I've seen the damn thing x3

WWI (History):

- n. The "War to end all wars" that nobody remembers or makes films about, because the sequel had Nazis and Nuclear bombs.

This was incredibly helpful, even though I'm more of a digital painter than manipulator! I never would have thought of using the clone tool that way. I usually just use it when there's something I want to cover up when I photograph my traditional pieces, like my name, or stains/scratches. Thanks so much for this!

I love you. Doesn't matter that I don't really know you. I love you. This was perhaps the most amazingly written walkthrough I've read. It also provided me with plenty of helpful tips for my own manipulations.

Thank you so much for doing this. I can see there was plenty of effort put into this.

Awesome.

oh! gravity! why can't we seem to keep it together?

Can you tell me how to view the walkthrough? I've tried clicking on the picture and nothing happens. When I click download I just get a bigger picture.
